Running
Growing up along the Boston Marathon route, I have always had an enjoyment of running. Throughout high school, I was a three-season runner running cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. I was elected varsity captain my senior year, where I led over 50+ student athletes to achieve their running goals.
My ultimate bucket list goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon and take part in the race that I've been watching live ever since I was young. Running helps me calm and focus while also working my way toward achieving success through hard work and dedication.
I'm currently training for my 2nd marathon, Providence Marathon 2024

WPI Running Club
Aug 2019 - 2023 | Secretary from Dec '21 to Dec '22
The Running Club at WPI is a club that promotes and participates in recreational running. Everyone, regardless of running ability, is welcomed. As the secretary, my role is to professionally respond to inquiry emails as well as monitor the club's email alias and social media. I also helped oganize events and social gatherings for the club. I was an advocate to introducing the Running Club Instagram page @run.wpi ; which is a staple for all prospective students, current members, and others who seek information about club activities and events.
I've always been a runner so participating in the club gives me the ability to relax and do what I love with people who I can connect with.
WPI SACNAS
Aug 2019 - 2023| Social Media Chair from Dec '19 to Dec '20
SACNAS or Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science is a really wonderful society that aims to further the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American students in obtaining advanced degrees, careers, leadership positions, and equality in the STEM field. As a member of the Hispanic community, I really appreciate being a part of a group of students like me trying to make a difference in the world as an engineer. I enjoy being a part of SACNAS' exciting events that spread awareness of the society's impacts and importance.
